1969 – Gaston de Zarraga, Associates is formed. Starting on February 1st, Gaston de Zarraga and Ramon Donnell open their structural consulting engineering firm and name it Gaston de Zarraga, Associates located at 800 Douglas Road in Coral Gables. They had been working together at Fernandino and Grafton, a large local AE firm.

First notable projects include the Haft-Gaines Corporation Apartments and Country Club – Jacaranda.
